About the Position:

Wee Wok Express is seeking an experienced and reliable Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and support the continued growth of our well-established takeout and delivery restaurant in Peterborough, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen workflows, order processing, and dispatch coordination to ensure efficient, high-volume service while maintaining consistent food quality and customer satisfaction.

This role includes supervising and scheduling staff based on order volume trends, managing inventory of ingredients and packaging supplies, coordinating with delivery drivers and third-party platforms, and monitoring sales and operating costs. The Restaurant Manager will also ensure compliance with food safety and workplace regulations, address customer feedback, and support operational improvements to maintain efficient and reliable takeout and delivery service.

Responsibilities:

·       Oversee daily operations of a high-volume takeout and delivery restaurant, ensuring efficient coordination between kitchen, order processing, and dispatch.

·       Maintain consistent food quality and preparation standards across Cantonese, Szechuan, Thai, and Canadian Chinese menu items.

·       Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure efficient order handling during peak takeout and delivery periods.

·       Develop staff schedules based on order volume trends, weekends, and seasonal demand.

·       Manage inventory of fresh ingredients, sauces, and packaging supplies to support uninterrupted service.

·       Coordinate with delivery drivers and third-party platforms to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

·       Monitor daily sales and operating costs, and support pricing or promotion adjustments when needed.

·       Address customer feedback and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace regulations.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

·       3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a restaurant or food service setting.

·       Completion of a college diploma is required.

·       Strong understanding of Asian cuisine operations, with familiarity in Chinese or Thai menu styles considered an asset.

·       Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

·       Solid knowledge of inventory control, cost management, and basic restaurant financial tracking.

·       Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complaints professionally.

·       Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask during peak hours.
