Role Overview:
We are actively seeking a passionate and results-driven human resources consultant to join our dynamic team. The human resources consultant is a strategic partner and advisor responsible for aligning human resource practices with organizational goals. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing HR strategies, policies, and programs to address workforce needs while fostering a positive and productive work environment. The HR Consultant also ensures compliance with labour laws and organizational policies, while supporting employee engagement, performance, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Performance Management systems, including appraisals, progressive discipline, and improvement plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop and manage the Employee Orientation Program, ensuring new hires are integrated effectively and aligned with Advanced Skytech Canada LTD.’s sustainability mission and operational processes.
- Lead the creation and execution of company-wide training programs, coordinate tracking of training records, and collaborate with department leaders to address skill gaps and improve performance.
- Administer benefits programs, assist employees with inquiries, and provide guidance on HR policies, workplace agreements, and employee relations issues to maintain a positive work environment.
- Manage and maintain HR data systems, ensure employee files and training records are accurate and compliant, and uphold organizational policies related to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Lead recruitment efforts, including job description development and interview coordination, while collaborating with leadership on workforce planning to meet business needs.
- Act as a key advisor to senior leadership, provide data-driven HR insights, and develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and alignment with company values.
- Supervise and mentor junior HR staff, and provide leadership support during the HR Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations and effective resolution of issues.
Employment requirements:
- A university degree or college diploma in human resources management or a related field is required. Completion of a professional development program in human resources administration can be considered.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources management or business-related field, including experience in HR strategy, labour relations, and employee development.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labour laws, compensation structures, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and supervise HR teams while aligning HR practices with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mediate disputes and negotiate collective agreements effectively.
- Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS), data analytics, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Dedication to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, and driving continuous improvement in HR practices and processes.
